Hi Everyone!! Congratulations to Shirley (aka Wanna be creative) for being chosen as this week's Queen for the Day!! Shirley - I had a blast looking through your gallery - not only are you super creative but you're also a cowboy and animal lover. Your cowboy cards are d'best!!!!!! Love love love them.
But I have such a soft spot for dogs - and yours are absolutely precious. We also have a White Boxer - our second dog is a large breed Terrier Mix. I was cracking up when I found this AWESEOME card: { ShirleyÂ’s Card} I love the part about Bandit insisting the car be PINK - "because you just don't tell a big white boxer NO"... I told Hubby about this and he was LOL. Because IT'S SOOOO TRUE!! Ours talked us into feeding her an hour early today - and hubby said - "I guess we'll feed her - you can't tell a big white Boxer NO!" LOL!!!!!!
Anyway, that's not the card I decided to CASE, although it did give me inspiration. Here's Shirley's wonderful scenic card that inspired mine: { ShirleyÂ’s wonderful Barn Raising seq Card }.
Changes were with shape, my scene is behind the frame, added cut-out trees and sentiment, hemp is along top rather than the side. Yesterday I went to a stamp/scrapping show with Pam124 and found this great tree-stamp. Also found lots of fun die-cuts!!!!! I used my new Cheery Lynn Designs Dutch Scallop Square Frame to create the frame for this card.
This card is for my DH - in celebration of our 18th Wedding Anniversary. It was actaully on the 8th- we wanted something casual so are celebrating with a nice dinner together tonight.
Thanks again Shirley for your inspiration - and CONGRATS to you!!!
Thanks everyone for looking!
Hugs,
Audrey

Wowzer, this is a beauty. I love it and I have that tree stamp so I might have to case your card. The colors are great and you chose the perfect designer paper. I laughed about your story of your white boxer. They definitely don't like the no word. My white boxer turned 10 on your anniversary. Now that he is older, he really does not take no for an answer. He has always been easy going, but now he thinks he has seniority and barks until I get the Yorkie's off the bed he wants to lay on. He has been a great dog.
Hope your anniversary celebration is great. Thanks, so much for joining in my celebration as Queen.

Okay Twinzi, you did it - you way DID IT with this awesome creative card. Oh, you used that set so quickly. You just bought it yesterday. This is beyond what I ever thought you would be able to do with these stamps. I keep looking and looking and can't get enough. B/T the trees, sponging, diecut, colors and choices you made, I'm just in awe and so honored to be able to spend IRL time with you. WOW!! Hey, I just finished Shirley's card too. I went with "DA MAN" theme. I just have to photo shoot it and it will probably be on line tomorrow. Don't think it will get anywhere near what you have done here. AMAZING!

Congrats on your 18th wedding anniversary! That is wonderful! You have made such a beautiful card to celebrate your time together!!! I LOVE the trees! I don't know that I would have chose one so thin and tall. But your forest is gorgeous!!! Your golden sky is outstanding!!! Truly beautiful with your orange sun shining down! The DP you used with your scalloped square die is so cool! Love every inch of your inspiring card! Fantastic case!!!

Oh my word, what a fabulous card to honor both Shirley AND your 18th wedding anniversary!!
Love this awesome scene in the shadowbox look - which I love - the masking and depth of color on here is jaw dropping - the only thing I would suggest is to add the word "BIGGER" to the 'stronger every day" Perfect card to honor Shirtley and also to let your hubby know how much you love him!
Congratulations and many more happy years together!!
