For today's Free for All challenge---using the negative of the die. I also made this card for the HYCCT challenges.
Several years ago now, my friend's baby daughter was born pre-maturely with cancer and died a few weeks later---such an awful time in all of our lives. One of the things I remember her saying to me is that it made her sad that there would be no celebration of her baby's birth. No shower. No Congratulation cards. She thought her baby was a beautiful gift and thought her short little life should be celebrated regardless of the cancer or the prognosis.
So I made a 'hello little baby' card in honor of my friend and her baby. That was quite a few years and several children ago, but on Mother's Day I still send her a card for ALL her kids, including the little one who is romping in heaven
I had trouble fitting my card with one of the challenges (I thought about For Kids Sake, but it's really for mom, not the kids) so ended up fitting it into the HYCCT challenge: H-hello, Y-yellow safety pin, C-cloud, C-clothing, T-teal felt
ETA: I didn't get this sent off in time last time, so I submitted it for publication in Simply Handmade: Baby, July- August 2013. But since I I just got it back from the publisher I can send it off with this last round of HYCCT challenge cards

Your story choked me up and brought back memories of a child I lost prematurely way back in 1977. As a mother, you have touched my heart. As a friend, you will warm the heart of this mother and bring her much comfort. Your thoughtfulness, caring and card are fantastic. God bless!

You are a good friend and person. Thank you. Your card is really so well done. I didn't realize it was a negative cut out at first. Great job on ALL of the challenges.

Beautiful and sweet little onsie! Poignant remembrance! I love the way you put it, that this child is "romping in Heaven" now! As this little onesie could be for a baby boy or girl, I'd say this card is for all that are "Romping in Heaven"!!
