 | | LMcAree (Lori) challenged us to make a card using elements that spell H-Y-C-C-T. This was fun once I stopped trying to find something unique for "Y."
H - Hug, Hen, Hampton Art (the hen)
Y - You, Yellow
C - Copper, Copics
C - Circles, Chocolate Chip ink (for sentiment)
T - ribbon Trim, Trellis, new Technique
The trellis and scalloped circle are lovely copper cs that I found super-cheap at Tuesday Morning, although it probably looks brown in the photo. I colored my hen with Copics then sponged a bit of blue while the image was still in the circle die.
The new (for me) ribbon trim technique, called "ribbon plaiting" is something I saw on YouTube last night. Very easy and fun to do. The tutorial used two colors of ribbon, and there are so many punches & dies that could be used to thread the ribbon through.
Edited to change photo as I had washed out the blue sponging on previous photo. Sorry about that! |
