I decided to do a card to encourage someone toward courage for today's Hope You Can Cling To challenge. I also wanted to honor this week's Queen Denise (resqbarbie) and I loved this card right away Rainbow of Butterflies CAS83 by resqbarbie at Splitcoaststampers so decided to go with that one. I won a gift cert. during the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges and I had this beautiful butterfly die from The Cat's Pajamas so I cut one in black. I used various reinkers on my baby wipe (I think I should have looked at the tutorial instead of winging it because I don't think my colors are as bright as Denise's) and stamped my solid butterflies in both those colors and Going Grey. I stamped the Script bg over that and added some Tempting Turquoise sponging. I also didn't have my sketch right handy so I punched 9 squares instead of 4! At that point, I had to go with a 5x7 card! I layered my squares over a large black square and adhered my butterfly. I used small alphabet stamps to stamp my sentiment. Hope this card brings some encouragement to a cancer patient or their family.

Hi, Gail. So glad you had a chance to play today and honor Denise also. The butterfly is such a great image to use with these patients. Love to see the baby wipe technique for the great wash of color. Thanks for adding some more encouragement in our gallery today.

I think the soft subtle colors on your reinker bg are beautiful. That's one of those "messy" techniques that I always have trouble with. The black butterfly looks great too.
