Here's my card for today's Free for All challenge - fall leaves.
I used the Burned Paper Bag technique to make this leaf. I found it on Maria's Joyful stamper blog here.
Basically, you spread Aleenes Tacky Glue over a brown paper bag and dry the glue with a hot gun. When it's dry it gives a clear rubbery uneven surface to stamp on.
I stamped my leaf with black archival ink and then colored it a bit with Alcohol inks. I think I used too much Alcohol Ink because it kind of 'melted' the black stamping - so I stamped the leaf again (next time I'll use less!) I had a leaf die to match my leaf so I cut it with the die.
My leaf stamp and die are from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I embossed the panel with the Square Lattice embossing folder from SU. My sentiment is from The Cat's Pajamas.
Doesn't the texture on this make it look like a real leaf?!! It's really cool! Here in MA we're starting to see leaves like this fall from the trees - autumn has definitely arrived!

Omigosh, it does look like a real leaf! Outstanding work on the burned bag technique, I have seen the tutorial but haven't tried it yet. You have inspired me! TFS!
