Hurray.....October Creative Crew Challenges are in full swing with beautiful samples of the 4 challenges from the Creative Crew :-)
The Theme for our Hostess Susie Nelson is: Step It Up!
All my cards are stepped up for each challenge.
I used the gorgeous technique "Fluid Masking Resist" for this Holiday Focus Thanksgiving card. Do check out Heather T's Fluid Masking Resist Tutorial
I used colors that are in the Orchard Harvest DSP, but no DSP on this challenge.
I stepped up the card in the front by heat EB the sentiment and stamping 2 leaves from French Foliage, cutting out, heat EB with Clear EB powder, adding linen thread and dimensionals.
I LOVE the rich fall colors and V Vanilla dots left by the masking fluid.
Enjoy and hope you get to play the Oct. 2012 CCREW Challenges.

Hee, hee.....I was pretty speechless too :-) The trick to being well saturated.....make sure your ink pads are juicy. Reink your ink pads before starting your image. Sponge in a circular motion adding more ink until you get a well saturated color even with the lighter colors. Use SU craft sponges (I cut in quarters) not sponge daubers.

OMGosh! Nancy, these are both just beautiful! I LOVE the fluid masking tech. you used on both cards! The dimensional leaves, embossed sentiment and twine are the perfect choice for stepping it up!
