This card is for the Alphabet Challenge for Letter C. I was dared to make a card with a child. I choose to create a Christmas card and candle gift set. The beautiful, almost heart-shaped image of Mary and the Christ Child is from a long-retired set, Miracle of Christmas. The scripture verse: Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given” is from the Madonna & Child set, also retired. I captured this opportunity to make an example of my Christmas card & gift for my neighbors. On the card, the top panel is raised up on foam dots. The verse is a little challenging to read with the embossing, so I may choose to just stamp it without embossing. I didn’t have a new candle to experiment upon, so I had to try it with a used candle. I have done this tissue paper melted onto a candle technique before, but it’s been a century ago. Clearly, I could use more practice before creating some for my neighbors & friends. On the candle, the words are “Welcome Christmas into your heart”. Thank you my comrade, Dani for daring me so I would get started on this project! This is also for my October entry (a bit early) for the Divine Designs Challenge to use a Bible verse. TFL

This is beautiful! I love the fact that you have a candle to match! Very clever!

This is absolutely beautiful, both the card and the candle. I certainly wish I had been involved with SU when this set was available. Thanks for so faithfully participating in our Bible Verse Challenge. :-) LM
