 | | This is my October card for this year's Christmas card challenge. I love how it came out but, seriously, I seem to have fallen into a rut here using the same layout and square size on so many cards of late. I wouldn't mind so much except I'd rather pay the extra postage than send my square cards in rectangular envelopes -- just one of my idiosyncrasies. And this card happens to be 4.25" square -- a size nobody seems to make square envelopes for. So it is either make my own or use the SU clear envelopes and fold them over more to make them appear square.
But enough of the whining and onto the card! Cause that IS what you popped in to hear about, isn't it?
Stamp is from Verve. I stamped it in Always Artichoke. Stamped it on another white scrap using Memento black inkpad and colored in the wreath using my Prismacolors blended with Gamsol. Punched the wreath using my 1 1/8" circle punch and adhered to the focal image using Zots. The red mat is from my stash but may be the Poppy Red SU had.
For the base card, I stamped Linen BG stamp on Always Artichoke cardstock using the Dazzling Versamark inkpad. Attached the matted focal image, added some glossy accents to the berries and called it done.
Easy as pie! |
