For this week's ways to use it challenge: fancy folds
This is an adaptation of the joy fold card. One of the "pages" is narrower and fits into a slot on the top page. It's secured under a pocket, which can hold a note, gift certificate/card, cash (!)-- I've even made one of these with a mini-book tucked into the pocket. This card has a custom made pocket, but library pockets work very well, too, and saves time. I stuck an old sticker on the note card. I can see this placed inside a backpack or lunch bag for a surprise.
Speaking of time: It took about twenty minutes to put this card together, even with a custom pocket. It's kind of a sneak peek into this weekend's September virtual stamp night-- Back to School. Come play!
