Well...I don't know much, but I do pick up on a few things around here, and yesterday I was back to my self-imposed torture of learning to color. And the funny thing is (after heaving a few Copics across the room...Katie!) I discovered that if you color an image, oh, perhaps 50 stinkin' times, you can actually cut out and paper piece the parts you like! Yes! It's a new technique...I'm just sayin'!
All that to say, I thoroughly enjoyed casing this week's Queen, Loll. I took in every gorgeous card, on every page Loll, and my head was full of ideas! And yes, I had to choose this card, because your snowy lil mountain top captured me! I love your details, and wondrous scene! Hope this week fills you up too! Congrats!
This image reminded me of my grandson, Jon. And here he is, warming up to a cuppa with his buddy the bear, (who by the way, used up two complete copics alone....Ai, the learning curve!) I paper pieced lil Jonny, and also the bears arms & head, since they disappeared once colored. The image was a gift to me from Tosh, and can be found HERE.
Thanks for looking!

Lordy, learning curve huh??? I need to take a ride with you on your next 'trip'!!! LOL
First off, your stitched snow DP makes such a wonderful BG, now the lists of "WOWS" - using the glittered branches for the snowman's arms (you always take things a step beyond!), the paper piecing on Jonny and the Bear (is that Grandpa in disguise?? LOL), the snowy tree and added pine branches, AND backed with the delish stitching and the big honking Bow - you always reach so far beyond the norm, it just amazes me everytime, but I always feel the invitation to make myself reach, after seeing what you have done!! Thank you for that!! LYMI

THUD!!! Pat, this is the sweetest little scene ever!! So much love going on here - even the snowman is in on it . You are such a masterful creator. Not sure how you used up two copics on this buddy bear but it looks like it was well worth it because he's soooo happy. Luv & Hugz!!!

LOL Yes copics are hard to color with and I am still learning. This is totally cute though and if paper piecing your parts together works for you then I say keep going. Love the snowman and your sparkle.

Ohhhhh! I'm supposed to be throwing the copics across the room - no one told me that helps - obviously shakes them up a bit and then gives a richer, deeper color!!! I saw that little "ugh" in your Acessories line! : ) Geeee-ooooorg-eous dimension here, Pat - and texture. And having two big boys who used to be little boys, this wee scene warms my heart!! Oh, and I have to mention the fab bow and greenery...feelin' all Christmassy here!

I am certainly feeling the love here, Pat. All that hard work paid off - isn't that what love is all about Really, now, I think this is amazing. I would never know you were or get frustrated during your crafting time. That, by the way, makes me feel so much better. I might have a chance of becoming as tallented as you one day through all my frustration - if I just hang in there
I think your card is absolutely amazing and adorable. Love all the snow, all the layers, and yes the coloring TFS!

Heee, the ol' Copic toss, huh? Well, I have to say I have been doin' a little of that today myself...lol! Can I just say...Copic reds give me fits! AGGGHH! Oh well, I am sure there is a support group around somewhere for that! Love the paper pieced bear and that sweet little ol' Jonny is precious! Your card is absolutely amazing! Probably one of the things I admire most about your talent is the way you tell a story in a single scene...it is a gift that not many possess but you excel at it. Your heart and soul are in every one of your creations and it shows girl! This one is going in my faves!
Oh my, you love coloring even more than I do, LOL!!!! I will try that paper piecing technique, though, Pat, thanks for the tip. After 50 tries I could probably piece an image together, too~ You've made an absolutely fabulous card, my friend, TFS!! LYMI...

Aww, super fun and frosty card for little Bubba. I didn't know he had such interesting friends but they look alright. You can practice coloring on Jonny cards anytime. LYMI
