'A very merry unbirthday to you, to you....'
This card will go to a dear dear friend who gave me some fresh tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, good bread, a cute Halloween towel yesterday, even though we said 'no gifts' for our mutual birthday in August. She doesn't listen to her own decree!!!! And she gave me a birthday card and I forgot to get one together for her. She is something else. I've always thought that song from the Disney Alice in Wonderland movie pretty cute. We should celebrate all our unbirthdays.
I did three challenges in one. I rounded the bottom corners for the Friday FFA challenge (not too exciting but they are rounded), I chose this little dress from yesterday's IC challenge: http://www.etsy.com/listing/80655799...s-a-line-dress and I chose this layout from T. Joy's gallery: Thoughts of You by T. Joy at Splitcoaststampers
I've loved hedgies ever since our kids went to a hedgehog farm years ago. And I loved the layout of T. Joy's card. I changed the orientation of the card, I made the angled panel go the other way so the hedgies would go uphill, I punched a bunch of flowers instead of her popped up coffee cup (layered some dp underneath) and the sentiment is stamped right on the card below the angled piece. I also popped up the angled piece for interest. I think I covered all the major differences. My color scheme came from the fun paper. I'm in love with orange lately. I colored the hedgies and flowers with markers, which also fits with the marker challenge of last week but I won't go that far with the multi challenges, since I already did the marker challenge. This is very long winded, sorry about that. TFL
