I have often been in the gallery of our Queen for the Day - Loll - she does beautiful things with her cards! I was intrigued by her Delicate Branches card so I looked at her blog post as well as Heather Telford's who she refers to as her inspiration.
So - here is my first try at this lovely technique of masking and sponging. Not anywhere as lovely as Loll's but I like the way it came out for my first shot!
I used pine trees instead of branches, covered my whole card instead of a panel and added silver sticky pearls to the trees. I also used Heather's technique of clear embossing the trees, then over stamping the trees with embossing ink and black ink - that gives the white shadow on the edge of the trees after you mask and sponge.
