Here's my card for Vicki's color challenge. Two shades of orange and dark blue - with the dessert option of making it Thanksgiving or just 'thanks'!
I emulated our dear Karen embossing my background AND image panel with the wonderful Square Lattice Embossing folder.
I seemed to end up with a lot of white space - so I added these pretty leaves from a Jolee's sticker set I found in my old scrap booking supplies case! (it pays off to do a little cleaning up!) I sponged the edges with Scattered Straw Distress ink to soften the white.
It's suddenly cool here in New England at night - feeling just like the fall season shown on my card!

Wonderful, Julia! Love the combined texture style with this image and the layers. Great effect! I know what you mean about cleaning. I just spent the last few days rearranging my craft room and cleaning. Goodness!

Oh let's not talk about cleaning our stamp room- I couldn't stamp for a couple of weeks to achieve that! I love your classic look tonight, Julia. Great use of texture with your tilted panels to create something beautiful. No signs of Fall here in California- I had to turn my ac on today it got so hot. Come on Autumn!

A cute, chubby pumpkin on a wonderful card, Julia. The overall embossing adds a wonderful texture and interest. The leaves and rhinestones are pretty additions.

This is a very pleasant, fall card. Love those little leaf stickers! The offset angle of the image panel adds interest while the embossing adds lovely texture. Beautiful!
