This card will be going to my Second Cousin for her 17th birthday. I should have done a horse card for her, as she loves her horses, but this one does have a western flair with the brown c/s that is used on the bg. It has been embossed and distressed with inks, though it is barely noticeable.
The flowers, leaves and sentiment panel are all done using the shaving cream technique for dying c/s. The flower is Tim Holtz' Tattered flower with the small Cheery Lynn cherry blossom for the center. The leaves are Spellbinders.
I'll have to put a note in about the fragrance, as it certainly is evident that something was done. I've been trying to find the Old Spice shaving creme, but haven't been able to. That one carries warm memories of watching my Dad shave.

Gorgeous card, Jennifer. The brown bg does have the look of tooled leather which I think is Western. Love the sflower, leaves and sentiment panel look fabulous using the shaving cream technique. Gives it a unique interest. Your cousin will love it!

That shaving cream cardstock you created is beautiful by itself, but spectacular as a layered flower on the chocolate card base. What a beautiful color combo! Great job.
