I just bought the Memory Box Bianca snowflake die so wanted to use it - I cut it out of silver cardstock and glued it onto a Nestabilities Inverted Scallop circle as I thought that kind of matched the snowflake's spikiness.
The background paper is my own homemade dp - I'm trying to get away from buying dp. I bought the Impression Obsession Mega Mount which works really well for large background stamps and I used two Impression Obsession large stamps - both snowflakes, but one a positive and one a negative. I did the negative in pale blue, let it dry, and then stamped the other one on top in a blue-gold ink (that comes out kind of silvery) and added sparkly embossing powder to it. I like how it turned out so much I want to go and make a whole bunch of backgrounds myself and weed out a ton of my dp I never use!
The card is 5 1/4" square. It's part of my September quota for the Christmas Card Challenge.

Susan, this card has a big WOW factor! I love that big snowflake. It fits perfectly on that die cut. Your homemade dp is wonderful!
If I never bought patterned paper again, I would still have enough to last several lifetimes!

Beautiful bg paper, Susan. I'm too lazy to make my own and have several decades worth of dp that I need to use. The snowflake sure looks good on the inverted scallop. Very pretty card.
