I made a bookmark/tag - for the Tuesday Teapot Challenge - This week, it is to be about flowers, butterflies and Biblical verse - and if we choose - we will send our creations to Brenda - who was involved in a serious car accident and could use some cheer and support as she slowly recooperates!
First I stamped the flowers and leaves on my shipping tag, then I used 3 Ranger Distress stains to color different areas of the tag - Forest Moss, Weathered Wood and Worn Lipstick. I dried it with my hot gun and then spritzed the tag with my Mini Mister that had water and Gold Perfect Pearls mixed in it. The tag really shimmers in real life - but it doesn't show in my picture :(
I layered the tag onto black card stock cut to fit. I stamped my Proverb on white and punched it with a heart adding a little punched butterfly to the bottom. Then I looped some coordinating wrinkled seam tape through the hole.
My flowers and leaves are from Waltzingmouse and the Proverb is from Stampendous.

Wonderful idea. Love the pretty flowers, they look layered and 3d, and the sweet sentiment with the cute little butterfy so pretty...TFS,,:0).

I hate it when it's hard to get a good photo to show off something like a pearly sheen - but I know just how lovely Perfect Pearls misted on look, and since this is a real beauty on screen it can only be even more so in real life. This is my sort of bookmark - one that's pretty but still totally functional and won't cause any harm to a book.
