Denise's CAS challenge for today is to use "fabric" on our card. The reason for my title is that this silk fabric carries memories since it came from my late mother's stash of fabrics. When I was a teen, she could make any formal or dress for me from a picture that I found. When I was clearing out her home after her death, I thought this was such a beautiful "modern" fabric...it is so richly printed that there really isn't a wrong side. Poppies are the flowers that signify "remembrance", so I thought it was apropos to use this new Technique Tuesday image.
Denise, thank you for asking me to be the first Guest Designer for this fall season.

Sallie, your card is so precious, and I am deeply touched by the memories you shared. Thank you so much for that! When we cleaned our mom's home, we found her treasured jars of buttons, and still I smile to see what she held dear, and now I hold them. Your mom would smile to see this. Thank you for sharing this incredible work. Hugs....

The coloring on your poppy image is just awesome. The wonderful fabric behind it showcases your beautiful work. I was very touched by your memory of your mother, as I had a grandmother who used to do the same for me. This card is such a wonderful tribute to her!

Oh, Sallie, I agree 100% with Charlene (aka LilLuvsStampin), I would frame it. What a wonderful sentimental memento of your DLM. Absolutely beautiful CAS card, your image is colored beautifully, and the meaning makes it even more special. TFS.

WOW! This is just GORGEOUS! The poppies against the black and white fabric is so STUNNING! And thank you so much for sharing about the fabric---my mom died when I was a little girl and I kept her button stash. Funny what we attach significance to isn't it
