Well, I have had to don my apron in response to this card, as you see see, I kin barley hang onto my britches! Now for a note about the most recent happenings in Jammer Town, as it relates to Stampin'.
Faux cleaning, is an acquired skill at best. However, it is a requirement for those who are blessed enough to live in Jammer Town.
Let's see...you will need a list of supplies-
1.Febreze, one can never have too much of this fine product. It ushers in the illusion of “clean” and heightens the sensory factors that make you believe the Stamp Castle is truly clean. If you run out of Febreze, for goodness sakes, keep a spare lil green tree, (auto refresher) as backup! Or, at least leave a candle burning somewhere, or put a nice roast in the crock pot. You know that smells good, and you have to cook an actual meal at least twice a week in order to have leftovers on the other Stampin' Days.
2.Swiffer, another gem of an item, because you can actually “clean” if you keep one of these lil beauties in your back jammer pocket and pretend to clean as you move from your paper stash to your coffee maker.
3.Leave a note on your vacuum in the hallway, saying the repairman has been called. That is good for at least two weeks, and you can mutter about what a slacker that guy is anyhow.
4.And if you have wood floors, and cats (and I do) here's is a priceless tip. Instead of using the Non-Stamper method of keeping these floors all shiny and new, get out that laser light, and get those cats haulin'! (You can do this from your stamp table....) Lol, when they chase the light, they always wipe out, a little, and voila, they take the dust with them! And, if your cats are not all that good at jumping, have visitors remove eye glasses, so the cob webs are not as visible. If you do not have dusting critters at home, you can always wear your big fuzzy bunny slippers and drag your feet between cards.
5.If all else fails, just tell people you are getting ready to have a yard sale, and oh-my-goodness, look at all the junk we are getting rid of!
Thanks for looking. Now stamp somethin' purdy!
Note: And, btw... it is perfectly “legal” in Jammer Town to have your sewing machine as a permanent fixture on your dining room table, and eat cereal or sandwiches for dinner (on the couch, of course!) SO there!

Not only is my sewing machine a permanent fixture on my dining room table, but the top's covered with dust!!! Not the workin' bit, of course which get's plenty of use! It's definitely not my policy to vacuum too much, far too dangerous - you'll end up never finding all those little buttons, brads and pearls that roll under the table and across the floor, they get all sucked up! And OF COURSE the cereal has to be eaten on the couch - wouldn't want to risk spashin' milk on the cardstock, scissors, dies, stamps, ink pads, rulers, ribbon rolls, double-sided tape, etc.!
Oh, I almost forgot, I LOVE your card! Especially the fab paper piecing and crinkled seam binding!

Pat and Katie...I think you two could write a comedy series!!!!Keep them coming...this is better than anything on t.v. I love Kathleen's idea about the get well card. Want to know something funny...I actually clean other peoples houses to keep up this stamping addition..I can truthfully say their houses are clean and organized, but they are not having the fun we do stamping. Your card is great. Love the seambinding' .

Man, this is one of the funnest posts ever! I wish I would have known some of the tips a few years ago -I could have been putting on a better show in the cleaning category. Have any tips for carpet and counter tops? Is it ok to leave your Big Shot on the kitchen counter all the time? I love jammer town and the Stamp Castle and the fact that there are people out there like you who totally understand the delicate balancing act between housework and stamping and who can make fun of it like this! What a wonderful card my friend! Thanks for sharing! I am still laughing! LYMI!!!!

Cleaning, stamping? Cleaning, Stamping? Is there really a choice!!! I never knew there was a term for my style of cleaning, I love it 'faux cleaning' - let's not tell the hubby this. When he decided to get lasik years ago it about killed me, see he is pretty blind without his glasses and he had no idea in the mornings when he got up the state of affairs in the bathroom....then the dear thing went and got lasik and could see that dirt, had to put a little more effort into things after that LOL. Kathleen just so you know I took full advantage of my recent surgery - those cards are still up. Blooms this is a great card....to cute, my favorite part is the slippers, yes those cute little fuzzy things....I live in mine...as a matter of fact, I have been known to go to the grocery in them. THanks for the chuckle - LYMI!!
