My version is VERY similar. I used textured vanilla card stock but reached for my new SU ink pads, sponging instead of using chalk. I decided to also spritz with SU markers in the same colors as the sky. I also added a sentiment as I need some masculine birthday cards for the month of September.
Thanks for the inspiration, Kathleen, as well as your generous comments on my cards. Enjoy this honor.

I am LOVING your version too! Something about those little speckles is really appealing to me!!! It is so cool how it is similar, yet unique too! I think this makes a wonderful masculine birthday card! Thank you VERY much for your kind words! I am so HAPPY you made this beautiful card and posted it tonight!!!

What a lovely card, Kathy! You did a great job with the sponging, and I love the added spritz using the same colors! Wonderful idea. Very nice masculine birthday card and great take on Kathleen's card!

Wow, another great tribute card to Kathleen. I love the way you spritzed your sky. A totally different look. Love it.

Well done! Great card to CASE. I love the sponging on TEXTURED paper! and the spritzing adds a great touch too! And I love the sentiment popped up on there in that shape.
Thanks so much for participating in the QFTD challenge!
