It is hard to believe but in 8 days my oldest child is going to be married! She and her fiancee are including part of Ruth 1:16 in their vows and I wanted to make a collage piece for them featuring that Scripture. I found the canvas and wood frame at a thrift store. I layered first with Gesso then did the faux barn board technique with several blue inks. The next layer is a torn hymn page. The main image piece is from a technique that Lydia (Understandblue) shared during the dirty dozen challenges. Basically you use a citrus based solvent to get the ink on a National Geographic page to start to run and remove some of it for a cool bg piece. I stamped the words from Scripture at the top of this. I had one of their engagement pictures printed onto a sheet of vellum paper. I tore this and used vellum tape to adhere it onto the altered paper piece. I die cut some flourishes in their Eggplant wedding color. The flowers are scallop circle punched with petals cut between the scallops and a 1" distressed black circle center. I added a few flourishes and the tag with their wedding date on a piece of paper I punched from the hymnal also.
