(replaced photo after adding white instead of silver lines around the edge )
I've managed to hit two Friday challenges with this - Wendy's challenge today to colour up the gallery with bright happy cards, and by coincidence, last Friday's one to take a challenge from the week and a technique. (Well, my challenge is from this week, but so is my challenge entry - I was away from home last weekend). There's a cloud for yesterday's WT challenge, and I used the Herringbone tutorial.
Looking at the uploaded photo, I think I'll go over the silver stitching lines round the edge in white .
A2 red base. I used Basic Grey Picadilly for the herringbone, and for plenty of colour. I added a ribbon bow and button, and stamped a sentiment straight on the herringbone panel rather than clutter it up with an extra panel. Denami chick stamped on Bristol Boards and coloured with distress inks - I added white dots to the umbrella to match the ribbon. It's layered and popped up on foam.

Love the quilt-like appearance of your bg with the herringbone technique, Sabrina. Terrific mix of patterns and colors. The little duck is cute...but I LOVE your bg.

Warm fuzzies for sure. Adorable image and I love your background...haven't done a quilted card in a while. Will have to try that again, yours is beautiful.
