What a fun challenge! I love adding clouds! Usually I sponge them in or use some little cloud punches I have, but since this balloon is so big, I went w/ an old Sizzix cloud die because the scale was a little better. The balloon was stamped on white the I filled it in w/ various punched strips of bright colors then cut it out and attached it to the cobalt blue background. I added a few thin strips for the wires and attached my cut out kitty on the present for the basket of the hot air balloon.
On the border of the blue background and the on the white card front, I used a stencil/template from Crafter's Workshop. It has a bunch of different borders like this and I just used the white or blue gel pens to trace inside the template lines and create my borders. The finished card is 4.50 x 6.25 (A6), a little larger because the balloon is so big!
Thanks for looking. My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

This is so adorable. I love the bright colors you chose which would fit tomorrow's free for all (which has been posted early) - LOL. Your paper piecing is wonderful. Have yet to do that technique. TFS.
