This will be a Christmas gift for my daughter's teacher. I've made them every year for about the last 4 years, although I can no longer remember where the idea came from, sorry. It is a decorated metal CD tin and I just added some matching DP along the top of the paper pad and a Joyful Bloom from Verve to pretty it up a little. The pen also has the same matching paper rolled up inside. The pad and pen go inside the tin and I always add a gift card as well.
This also for the Anni-VERVE-sary Release Challenge Anything But a Card. The layout on the tin is from VSAVS12C.

I love this set. Your hounds tooth and flower combination with the turquoise is breathtaking. Love the matching pen and the flower embellishment on the notepad...HOW cute!!!

Wow, this is really cute, and I'm sure your DD's teacher will absolutely love it! I'm putting this clever idea in my favorites so I won't forget to make one. :)

What a wonderful teachers gift - actually anyone would love it. If you had used red as your accent, I would make the best Alabama fan present as well. What a super combination. Thanks for adding where you get the items for the tin. What a great idea - TFS.
