Day 5 of the Verve Anniversary Challenge, to make Anything but a card!
I have made a corrugated cardboard gift box with a tag to go with it. I love making my own boxes for gifts - it's so nice to have a box that is the perfect size for your gift.
I have made this one for a dear friend of mine and here I have chosen the sentiment on my tag, to go with the contents of the box - yes, a lovely selection of handmade chocolates!
I have used a green polkadot dp by echo park paper co. to cover the front of my tag. I've added some brightly colored flowers (Verve - VS-09-PJ016) and leaves (Verve - Bloom & Grow) and added the sentiment stamped on white cardstock (using Walnut stain distress ink to stamp). I've finished the tag off with a piece of lace tape (by Decollections), a butterfly and some pearls.
I used some twine and seam binding to wrap around the box and fix the tag to the top.
I hope Des likes her birthday gift!
I had a really enjoyed making this special gift!
Hope you like it!
Thanks for stopping by.
PS. Thanks diva's at Verve for the week of challenges - it was so much fun to take part!!
