I was puzzling over what to make. I have some great cutting files...little boxes or bags or 3D items. But while browsing Joann's at an impromptu stop in (dh wanted to go to Sports Authority next door), I found these adorable tiny 3x3 canvases. I absolutely love the inspirational quotes in the Words of Wisdom stamp set by Verve (http://shopverve.com/vs-0159.html). I've made several cards and this little easel that sits by my desk, for which I can change out the sentiments with the little clip: Inspirational Easel for SFYTT by nlsmith68 at Splitcoaststampers.
So I decided to decorate three of the little canvases with some of my favorite quotes in the set. I colored the backgrounds with Copics (actually much more difficult than I thought. The ink didn't want to stay). Then stamped with Staz-On, and added a few stamped and cut out elements from other Verve sets and added my signature bling (nothing's finished until it has some bling) in the form of alternating colors of flat backed pearls around the edges.
Very simple, but with the coordinating colors and designs, and the wonderful uplifting quotes, I like my little art pieces. I plan to hang them up in my craft room, unless I find someone who needs the inspiration even more than I do.

oh, wow! These are amazing! I saw little canvases in the dollar store today with little easels and was thinking they would make great stamping bases! I need to go back now! Funny serendipitous story...last year for the Anni-VERVE-sary release when this set was being spotlighted, I created a little set of inspirational mini cards. A commenter talked about how much she loved them and how she was going through a tough time...so I contacted her and mailed them to her Sounds like you might do the same Love it!
These are so wonderful! I really need this stamp set in my life so I can inspire people too the colours are beautiful and I totally agree, nothing is complete without bling
I love Moe's story and I'm sure the you won't be holding on to these canvasses for long either - you're good people ;)
