Today Jeanne challenged us to use a combination of 2 things: a tutorial or type of technique, and one of the challenges. I used the baby wipe technique in which I made my own type of ink pad with a baby wipe and used celery, artichoke, and baja breeze reinkers on it. I then stamped some of the stamps from French Foliage on white and then celery. I didn't really like the way the white looked. I'm not too sure the combination shows up that well. Then I looked through the sketch challenges and did an adaptive SC396. I fiddled around with this for a bit longer than I would have liked, and don't really like the results I got. At least it gives me information for the future.
Thanks for looking and have a nice weekend!!

A funny co-inky-dinks that we're beside each other in the challenge gallery, because I spent WAY more time on my card that I normally would too and am not too sure about the result. Anyway, I like your card...especially the torn edges!

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?

Lots of great things going on here! Great texture with that fabulous embossing folder! Really cool brad, looks like an antique! And lovely leaves and splotches! They are a little hard to see, but that is okay, makes it interesting that way! The torn edges are cool too! I think it is better than you think it is : )

I've never tried this baby wipe technique mainly b/c I don't want to buy the wipes since we have no other need for them!! I like what you did though. I know what you mean about not being too happy w/ your results b/c I feel that way about mine.

I have never tried this technique. As I look through the F4A gallery I am finding a lot to get excited about! I love the textures in your card and the inking too. It looks like a fun thing to try (and I actually have the baby wipes) :-)
