Today's WT challenge was School Tools - either stamped or used on our cards. I did use brads, but my main school tool was using a compass to create my hexagon template . I wasted a LOT of time in class drawing those 6-petalled flowers with my compass, LOL.
A2 base. White card sponged with Shabby Shutters and then stamped with Linen in Victorian Velvet. I'd just picked scraps off my desk for the hexagons - they're Basic Grey Kioshi. I also stamped part of a Hero Arts flourish stamp in Shabby Shutters. I added stitching lines with a black pen, some pink grosgrain and a sentiment stamped in Smokey Grey.

Oh I had to smile when I read your comment. I didn't do anything as constructive as your flower petals, I just doodled when I got bored. Back to your card, i love it. The brads add a nice touch. tfs

I love the linen background and the stitched border!! I love the gentle flourish that comes down to greet the hexagon flower!! Wonderful way to use up scraps!! I was scared of my compass; it had that sharp point.

Very clever...I thought my school compass was to dig the chewing gum from under the desk! LOL I love this quilt pattern and your linen background sets it off perfectly. Love it.
