One friend at work has a b-day in a couple days . I believe she loves the oranges and browns. I have gotten ok with browns but orange?...belongs on fruit..(no offence to you that love the color)..l:0)...I am the pink and bluesy girl so hard for orange as I dont have much stock...lol. I found this rusty kind of dp and went with that. I colored my image twice did the cutting out instructions as in the tutorial on the home page...which ty was well done for us newbies...another fun technique.
I did sponge the edge in marina mist blue, but was not sure if it went with the orange, so i also then sponged the outer edges in the rusty color.
added the touch of black in the corners with scissors and a hole punch, which also using normal markers to color the design is good for the school supply challenge for today. and wanted to try the new (or to me)..telescoping image technique...another fun one..:0)
Stamped the happy birthday and finished it off. I dont think she likes a lot of fancy stuff so keeping it more warm and simple...:0)
Thanks for visiting

Gorgeous card for your friend. You handled the orange VERY well. Using the blue was a good idea...complementary colors. The coloring of your watering can of flowers is beautifully done....a lovely fall look overall.

Wow....fantastic job on the telescoping image technique! This is a perfect image to use on it. I love how you coloured the image and the way you coordinated the colours.........not my colours either, but you did a great job with them. My favourites are all in the blue and green range.

Your colors are beautiful, Wendy...blue and orange are complementary colors so your choice was perfect! Gorgeous telescoping technique...and use of "School Tools." Love the warmth of this autumn beauty!
