This is a remake of the card I posted earlier this evening, which I submitted for the Mojo Monday challenge. I was busy all week, and when I finally did have some free there was only 20 minutes left before the linky closed for the challenge. I thought to myself, ...what's the point, I'm never going to be able to make a card and get it posted in under 20 minutes, but I decided to just go for it and see if I could make something. I actually surprised myself and made a card with 2 minutes to spare. I used leftover scraps from other projects--the flower, leaves, and framed sentiment--and found a way to make them work with the sketch. My card was a little plain, but it was still nice.
After I posted the card on the MM's blog I decided to see if I could do something to it to make it look a little bit prettier, so I stamped the sentiment on the DSP I used for the background, added the butterflies,, and did some shading with a chestnut brown brush pad. I'm still not overly fond of my card, but I think it looks better than the first version. The flower is what gave me the most trouble. It is the very first flower I made with the Spellbinders blossom die. I used cardstock to make it, and it was really hard to smoosh it down. I think using a larger, fabric flower that filled up more space would look better but, alas, I don't have one. Oh well, I can't really expect great results when it's just a 10-minute card.

Your flower is gorgeous! I love the pearl center. I really love all the sponged edges. It's a beautiful card and I can't believe it only took 10 mins. I can't even decide what papers to use in 10 mins!

Holy schmokes! Ten minutes? Git on over here and give me lessons on how to get from scraps-to-gawgus in less than ten. Amazing.
