Anna's challenge led me to a card for DS Jay - a marine biologist. He's always had an aquarium, even once having a pair of sea horses that he rescued when doing field research for Cornell. Julie's challenge gave me the palette. Judy challenged us to use an SCS tutorial to make a background. I chose Beate's Heated Pearls: Pearl Ex™ - Heated Pearls Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
Prepared celery CS as Beate showed, using Micro Pearl and True Blue Pearl-Ex. The result is a gorgeous delphinium blue ;) Used my MS score board to first score the lines for the aquarium frame, then with my craft knife as a guide to cut it. Stenciled the larger fish & fussy-cut, then punched the smaller fish with the MS embossing punch. Applied all to the BG and trimmed. As homage to Judy I used some white Magic Mesh for the screen topping the aquarium. Mounted all using double sided tape to a Celery card (PC generated the corny sentiment) and added some pearl bubbles. PT - 2
Thank you Julie, Anna and Judy for the inspiration. Happy Anniversary, Julie! Thank you all for looking and have a peaceful day.
