Sue's incredibly beautiful water-stamped map background inspired me to try that technique out - but I think maybe I didn't sponge enough depth of colour onto my background first. Still, it has added a bit of texture to the sponged green, so I'm counting it as a step on the learning curve.
5 1/4" black base.
For the background, I sponged with Tumbled Glass, Forest Moss and Peeled Paint. Then I stamped the Inspired by Nature grass several times with water. When it was dry I stamped the chicken wire.
Image from Best of Cluck stamped on watercolour paper, coloured with distress inks and sponged. It's layered on black and popped up. Sentiment is layered onto a die-namics sun and popped up.

This is absolutely wonderful, Sabrina, love the very cool BG (I thought that it was a DP or a photograph) and your delightful chicken theme. Your sun is precious!
