This card is for Color Throwdown's new challenge to use Only Orange, Garden Green, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, & Crumb Cake. I've been wanting to try out the distressed watercolor dry embossing technique that was posted recently by Mel McCarthy in the resource section.
I started with 90 lb watercolor paper and dry embossed using SU's Manhattan Flower folder. I lightly rolled Versamark ink (using a brayer) over the raised design then embossed with clear embossing powder. I then sprayed the paper with water and added some orange and yellow reinker using a brush. This was my first attempt and I didn't get even coverage of the EP, so I touched up the white outline using an opaque white gel pen (Signa). It was rather messy, but have to say I like the variegated effect it gives the coloring!
