I had so much fun making a tent card for yesterday's CAS challenge that I decided to make another. I started with the flower (believe it or not...that's what ended up driving my card!) which I made using the heated ribbon technique from Dawn's tutorial http://dostamping.typepad.com/dostam...tampin-up.html. I used a narrower ribbon which made a cool smaller petal look. I also used an organdy instead of satin so my flower is more translucent than hers. I had a roll of Turquoise organdy ribbon and used circles of sticky sheet and Tempting Turquoise for the flower and a large pearl for the center. I embossed the lower part of my card with the stripes ef. I sponged the top with Turquoise and stamped my Scripture verse, using a marker to ink up the center flourish and Versafine onyx for the text. I layered a piece of punched watercolor paper over a piece of Crumb Cake cs embossed in the Square Lattice ef. After adhering my scored piece to make the tent card, I layered another piece of the embossed crumb cake behind the front of the card. I stamped the medallion image in whisper white on Tempting turquoise and adhered that over the inner back. It is pretty heavy so I probably won't mail it, but it stands very nicely.

Oh I do adore that turquoise blossom! Don't you love it when just one item on your desk can inspire a whole new creation? Thanks for playing in my DTGD challenge!
