This is based on a CAS sketch by diva Andrea Ewen for the Viva la Verve July sketch challenge. Wonderful sketch, but trying to get my brain to create a clean and simple card wasn't easy. After looking at the first card I made (link below) I decided that although it was clean it definitely wasn't simple, so I gave it another try without the use of any fancy punches or die-cuts. For this card, everything but the oval are straight cuts. The flower print on the whisper white was a leftover from another card, and I thought it might look nice with the cross at the top. Placement of the sentiment took me awhile. I finally decided to just slide the oval underneath the rectangle and offset it. Whew, finally finished it!
I am also adding this one to the Divine Bible Verse Challenge that I started in July. I'm hoping to get all 12 cards done before the end of the year. Three done, nine left to go.
Thanks for taking a look at my first (and probably last) CAS card. Your comments and feedback are always appreciated!

Another beautiful sketch, Anne...I would not get hung up on labels...just because there is a CAS design posted, doesn't mean you have to make your card that way. It looks to me like both of your attempts at this sketch have come out beautifully and that's what I would focus on. That sentiment is wonderfully profound, the mix of stamps you used is perfect and the sketch is right on! Thanks for adding your lovely cards to the gallery!

Love seeing scriptures shared on cards. A beautiful way to get the Word out into the world!!! Bless you!
