This week our cards are going off to Sol, in Ontario, Canada. Sol and his Buddy Gypsy have been adopted by the Teapotters. Gypsy got the Teapotter treatment awhile back, so now it's Sol's turn.
This week our teapots were nothing close to fancy schmancy, they were a plain green, white and red. Manly Manny has been creating way to many floral teapots, so this week we're manning up. No flowers, just manly things.
I let Sol's name guide me for the theme, though I did get some manly argyle in there.
I did a pocket card of red, covered with the argyle dp. The pull out part has the part inspired by Sol's name. A big sun!
There's even a sun face for embellishment on the front of the pocket. This slides out if Sol wants to take it out.
Taking it a step further, there's two suns on the envie.
These pocket cards are so easy to make.
I hope this brightens Sol's days just a little more. Plus it's like a two fer, he'll share this with his buddy Gypsy and make Gypsy's day a little brighter too!
When we got the advance challenge e-mail, the teapots were tiny and I saw them as red, white and green. So I based my card on that. Turns out the red looks like a reddish brown.

Awesome card - love the "Sol/sun" card! Very pretty. I love, love that image of the sun - I am assuming it's retired, although I will check and see. TFS!

Jennifer, what a great idea to base the theme of your card on Sol's name......SOL(sun in Spanish, right?) Love your sun motif and the way you built a manly card around it with your DP and bold design medallion. He's sure to love it.
