My mom was a scrapbooker (before it was popular) and has great albums of us all growing up and although I have lots of pictures of my mom, I was struggling to do this "tribute" to her. This challenge is perfect and an inspiration for me to do this page. Thank you for the opportunity to share my feelings and show you my wonderful Mom.
The journaling (which you may not want to read) is:
I don't know if I told you, Mom, I sure hope you know that I'm thankful for the lessons taught, the dreams you helped come true. I thank you for your imagination; from a plain old cardboard box, a castle you could see. With scissors and imagination, you made it a reality. You showed me how to find the good in everyone I meet; to give a great big smile and a few kind words to everyone I greet. You said my dreams will all come true with work and a little faith. I thank you, Mom, you were always there to lend your guiding, loving hand. I thank you for your strength and grace, your faith in my abilities. For standing up and protecting me and helping with my mistakes. I thank you most for being there and always loving me. You're all wrapped up and intertwined in everything that's me. You're in my heart and in my soul, your child I'm proud to be.
And now it's been three years long, dear Mom, and I can't believe how much I miss you. It's like every part of me, each thought, each idea came from you. As I grow older, I see more of you in myself, your looks (but I'll never be as pretty as you), your ideas, your energy. You have given me so much to be proud of, so much to be lucky for. And although I had you in my life for a very long time, I'm greedy, and it's just never enough.
I miss you, Mom, so very much.
I love you .
No day goes by
nor ever will
that is not filled
with thoughts of you.
