This is for FS285, to honor featured stamper Sophie LaFontaine. I went through all 12 pages of her gallery (96 items per page) -- and I poured over all the details. The pink houses, and the hand watercolored auto lift, and the dog with cookies. I even somehow ended up on an old blog she used to maintain, and I saw a watercolor she made at her husband's request and with her serving him green cards while he lay on the couch.
She is a true artist and her work is beautiful. Please go say hello, or visit her gallery, or participate in the challenge if you can.
My card took way longer to design than I like, as usual. I was inspired by the postal theme - and it turns out I have collected postal stamps and papers over many years. I was overwhelmed trying to choose what to use. And in the end, I took a dsp pattern from last year and basically cut it up and rearranged the pattern to feature Santa.
I am gonig to send it to my sister for Christmas - she used to work at the post office.
Thanks for taking a closer look. Now that I have all these postoids out, I hope I am inspired to work with them more. I even discoverd a moxy fab challenge with some awesome entries as well.
Stamps: Merry and Bright (on the inside)
Colors: Cherry, Espresso, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ribbon: Retired SU!
Other: scissors stamps from way back in the day, dazzling details, dimensionals for the layers, white brads
Blessings.

This is FABULOUS...what work and research went into it. Your sister is sure to treasure it long after Christmas has passed. Your tribute to Sophie was beautiful.
