I love hoarding my designer paper that has images on it rather than just patterns. I decided that at least once a month I have to make a project that uses some of that paper, and today is it for July! The paper is the Mariposa Stack from DCWV. I chose the design for the accordian fan pattern first, and then found a contrasting paper pattern for the background second.
I held the fan in place with 1/4 inch Scor-Tape. I added some thin rub-on letters to the bird cage part of the designer paper for a sentiment ("thinking of you"). I adhered the fan, button, and Ivory Box Pleated Ribbon (Really Reasonable Ribbon) with 1/4 inch Scor-Tape as well. I added a bit of Light Green Curly Sparkling Trim (RRR) to the button.
Thanks for taking a peek!

Judy what a clever idea for your card. This is just gorgeous with the colors you chose and your layout.

What gorgeous card! I really like your use of a simple layout and detailing it with interesting layers. The fan is beautiful, and goes so nicely with the ruffled ribbon. I particularly like the layered stamping work you did on the dp.
