No wonderful sunny beaches or children romping outdoors here. Missouri/ Illinois/Kansas...and more states are going through a summer of killer heat waves...temperatures of 100+ for weeks on end. So far, at least 14 people have died because of the heat here in St. Louis. Farmer's crops and livestock are withering. Not a fun summer for outside activities.
I don't own such a cheerless little stamp so I had to freehand my image. Brown is the color of the day.....unless you water copiously. It hasn't really rained for what seems like months.

This is adorable! Brown is certainly the color of excess heat. Although already too late for most of the crops, hope you see some cooler temps and moisture soon!

the stories of your weather have covered the news.....we have been hotter than usual as well, but we have gotten rain in between so our drought situation is not as bad.....wishing you soft, easy, but steady rains

Sallie, this hits the nail on the head!! I hate to see our water bill just for keeping the flowers watered - and they still don't look good! We had rain yesterday, finally, the not nearly enough. Your drawing is right on and I love your true senti.

i feel your pain and I know it's worse for you than for us in WI. But it's getting pretty old all the way around. Might as well be winter, we're able to get out easier.
