Perfect Pearls and Tim Holtz Distress Inks have both been on my wish list for years, and I finally broke down and got myself some. After some trial-and-error with the Perfect Pearls I eventually ended up with something useable on a card.
After stamping the image with Memento, craft nibs were used to color the flowers and leaves, then finished off with a tiny amount of Perfect Pearls to add highlights. To make the label, I stamped off an identical image of the flowers to match the background behind it and heat embossed the Verve sentiment on it.
I also saw a tutorial on Ranger's site that showed a painted background using Perfect Pearls, so I did that here and really like that it gave the entire card a very soft shimmerized look.
I honestly didn't mean to write so much, but I am just so excited about having something new to play with that I couldn't help but shout it out. It's similar to the excitement I felt back when liquid chalk first came out, remember those days? Well, sorry for carrying on here. I suppose I better get to work on figuring out my blog but for now thanks for putting up with me and letting me share my excitement here.
