I was inspired by Biggan's watercolor beach scene and although I'm nowhere near as artistic as she is I like mine. I used a paint brush and water with perfect pearls mixed in and several distress inks to make the sky. I die cut and paper pieced the umbrella and stamped, tore and sponged cs to create a sandy beach. I think it looks kind of stormy and that is why it's deserted. TFL!

LOL LOVE how you describe it! I think you did a FANTASTIC job on both sand and sky!!! I hope you don't take this this wrong way, but to me it looks like the PERFECT snowy sky. Those liquid pearl parts that are catching the light remind me of snow. I think it is a BEAUTIFUL effect!!! But, hey, this beach could be up in Canada and it could be snowing there. : ) Your beach is wonderful too! GREAT card!!! I definately want to try this technique!!!
