My girlfriend asked me if she could buy a card from me for her mother's birthday. She indicated that her mom loves pink.
I am absolutely loving the layout of the card I made last night (thanks Aimes!). It's a small thing, but when I have a sentiment panel like that, I just always seem to make it and put it on top of the base, rather than leaving the base open for the sentiment. So I'm just a bit enamored with this approach. Plus, it's a super simple layout to work with, making it a great addition to my "go to" layouts.
The picture doesn't show it, but I sprayed the flower and the leaves with Sparkly Spritz to give them some nice shimmer.
Now, I just have to figure out what to put it in. Thankfully, she'll be hand delivering it.
Everything on the card is from my stash. The sentiment is Penny Black.
Enjoy!

It's amazing how different it looks from your card yesterday ... even though it's the same layout and similar flower embellishment. The striped pink DP on top, lightens the card quite a bit from your all dark background of yesterday. Both cards are beautiful and have a totally different feel.
