In today's challenge, Steph has us in stitches! That means some sewing, real or faux, on your project. Some of you ladies are AMAZING on a sewing machine!!!
This is a card I made for my brother and sister-in-law. They gave us some HUGE squash from their garden. And they brought me a gorgeous sand dollar from their vacation.
What do you think of my sewing? LOL It is horrible!!! That's why I used FAUX stitching! It is actually a clear sticker I got at HL called stickabilities. There are several colors and styles of stitches in the set.
I used the swiss dots ef on the top part of the card and separated the sides with a polka dotted ribbon. The morning glories are an Anita's stamp. The hummingbird is a digi from A Day for Daisies. I used Copic markers to color both images and a little chalk on around the flowers. Lastly, I popped the bird up (he needed to be in the air) on some dimensionals.
Good thing my brother lives close, I don't think those wings would mail very well!
Thanks for stopping by to have a peek!

Love that hummingbird and how it is hovering over the card! Grat dimension and color!
I can hand stitch (takes FOREVER), but I can mess up a sewing machine in no time flat. I almost always faux stitch on my cards, too! ;)

I just love hummingbirds! We have a mimosa tree that attracts them, and it's so fun to watch them hover while taking a sip. Beautiful bird, and he has his beak right where it needs to be! I love your shades of blue and that amazing stitching! : )

You could have fooled me about the stitching..I would have said your stitching is fabulously even (I can't get my stitching that straight and evenly spaced!). This bird really jumped out at me from the gallery..the coloring and the off the card partial placement..so LOVELY! I love the dot motif on this. Another stunning card Kathleen!

Hi Sweetie!! - Your card is lovely!! I love the colors you used, and your faux stitching looks awesome!! My sewing machine is busted, and I don't know how to use it much anyway. I love your hummingbird and how you have it extending off of the page. So sweet, just like you. :>)
