CT0712 CENTRAL THEME: Summertime
Our challenge this month is to be inspired by the classic song: SUMMERTIME - by George Gershwin
CT0712 - Fish are jumpingÂ…
Fishing in the South is like golfing to some. ItÂ’s a time to relax after a hectic week of work and the water is soothing. The fish was also the meal for the extended family for the weekend. Fishing was not my thing. There were just too many mosquitoes.
Our family had a garden with every imaginable vegetable in it. We never eat fast food or junk food only fresh from the garden. Canning, blanching and freezing of the harvest was another event in late summer and early fall.
I’ve used Robert Jackson’s digi “Fishing with Pop”.

Oh this is so sweet. I love that image. Angela I grow a big garden every year and can and freeze my veggies too. My friends think I'm crazy for all the work when you can buy the same thing at the store. My garden is truly organic. Because of my surgery I only have tomatoes and cucumbers this year. My husband is doing it. I asked him to plant a couple of tomato plants and he planted 8. He brought in about 5 gallons of tomatoes tonight. One of my favorite things is a tomato pie. A nice savory dish to go with dinner or in my case that's all I need! Summer foods are the best.

Oh this reminds me of me and my Dad. I loved to go fishing with my Dad back when I lived in Connecticut. He used to have a small fishing boat we would take to Beach Pond. Throw our line in the water and put the Boston Red Sox on the radio and we were good to go for the night. I miss it so much and think of those times together. I love your bling fish on this card-it's a wonderful accent. Look at the memory you envoked from me...lol I love this card!!!!
