What's For Breakfast?

Poster: Mothermark

This is my card for Heath and this week's Teapot Tuesday challenge. If you would like to play along and make a card for Heath, click here for more information.

This is my story!

1. Okay, well after sending out the cheater email, I could not figure out what I was gonna make for Heath. I have a fishing pole stamp, some fly stamps (as in for fishing lure flys!), a moose stamp and a bear stamp....all of which for some reason did not float my boat!

2. What to do? Go to work and an idea will come! Snort! While at work, I got an email with a crazy story and picture attached from my niece which was the answer to my dilemma.

3. As many of you know the wildfires in Colorado have been brutal. The one in Fort Collins was very close to where we live and there has been so much of the forest burned. The wildlife has been coming into the city.....My boss had a herd of elk in his backyard, there was a mountain lion spotted a few blocks from my house, a moose has been seen in town and Sunday, my neice (Shari) opened up her backdoor (her house is in the middle of town) and this critter was there to greet her!

4. How would you like to open your backdoor half groggy and have this guy saying.....

Good morning!! What's for breakfast? Snort!

I thought Heath would enjoy the card and the story. And I have no more dilemma! See the other picture for a close up of the Mr. Elk of Loveland!

Now that's an elk! I love your story, Cindy and I love what you did with the photo, that's nature in the flesh, elk flesh that is!!
Your story makes me remember when we went to RMNP and stayed a week in Estes Park, with the elk just meandering about town as they chose.

Have fun and be creative!

My family and I originate from Colorado so when I saw Mr. Elk from Loveland I had to read your card description. Great picture and card. Feel real bad for those folks enduring all the fires. I have a niece who lives in Fort Collins with her family but they don't live in the mountains. Your card brings back sweet memories of my home state and the wonderful wildlife that lives there. Thanks for sharing.

Oh Mudder what a great card and story...poor Shari, what a fright that this magnificent creature must have been. A hunter like Heath will really appreciate this story...and card! I love the rustic feel of your card...the textured corners, distressed trees (wonder where you got inspiration for trees in distress!) and the great manly colors of your papers. You did good!!!!
Thanks for starting this wonderful Party and for continuing to guide us...now go get some cookies!!! Hugz :)

That elk looks downright at home, on this card and in the yard. Mother nature was speaking to you when this fella was looking for a safe place. Lovely, lovely card......great details, I have no doubt Heath will really appreciate this one.

Wow! I love this-great use of a fantastic photo. The tree dies just really add to the composition. Cool!

How awesome is that card!?!?! Love the photo (the most exciting thing that we see in our backyard is a hummingbird!!) and your layout is fantastic! Love the die cut trees and the cool photo corners.
