Today's Ways to Use it Challenge WT382 - Grab a Tissue (07/05/12) by ravengirl at Splitcoaststampers is entitled Grab A Tissue and challenged us to use tissue paper on our cards. I used tissue two ways. First, I made faux Washi tape by adhering a strip of double sided tape to some acetate and covering it with pink tissue paper which I then stamped with Chocolate Chip polka dots. I trimmed off the tissue to form the strip, notched the end then layered onto some stitched Chocolate Chip ribbon that I also notched. For the tissue paper flower I cut 4 layers of pink tissue paper with the circles die in the four sizes. I stamped the polka dots on the smallest circles. For each layer of the flower, I folded the circles in half then put two halves together to form a whole.. I cut petals into each circle and curled the petals. I put a button brad center. My Crumb Cake base was embossed in the polka dot ef on the main portion, leaving the lower portion plain and scalloping the edge. I added one more notched ribbon and layered it all onto a white base.
