I needed to make a sympathy card for my neighbor, whose mother died. The colors for this week's CAS challenge -- navy, olive and white -- seemed well-suited to a sympathy card. I used this week's sketch, as well.
I wanted to use a butterfly image. The butterfly images I had were too big or too small, so I decided to use a partial image, just part of a stamp that shows a long string of butterflies. It really filled the space well and looks good, thanks to this technique from TLC381.
(The rectangle is a dark navy, but it photographed looking black).
Since it's a sympathy card, embellies didn't seem appropriate. I just did some piercing around the edge of the olive circle.
