This is my card for 2 Friday challenges: The QFTD #119 and the Free For All #123.
Mary Brown aka stampercamper is this week's Queen. I love her work and she has a fantastic gallery of cas cards. I chose her little leaves to case.
For the F4A123 challenge, Jeanne wanted us to take some of those paper scraps from other projects and create an interesting background for you card by arranging the bits and pieces.
So Mary's original card was perfect for me to use up my scraps.
I kept her same layout and color combo. Instead of a die-cut, I embossed the single poppy image from the Marks Finest Papers set - "welcome poppies".
I change the ribbon color to peach parfait.
My sentiment is from another Marks Finest Papers set -"fabulous dogs".
I used an MFT die - fishtail flags stax for my pennant.

Mary, a lovely card to honor the Queen this week!! Great colors!
------------------------------ Phyllis Young at heart, slightly older in other parts. We really never grow up, we just learn how to act in public!! What if you woke up today with only what you had thanked God for yesterday??

So pretty, Mary. I love the colors and the sweet, heart brad. Fabulous way to use those scraps.
