This week's Feature Stampser is Laura O'Donnell. Laura has a wonderful gallery with so many fun and happy cards! It was a pleasure to see all the various styles!
Unfortunately, I needed to make a sympathy card. A young man at my husband's work, lost both of his parents in a motorcycle accident a little over a week ago. He will be coming back to work on Monday. I just can't imagine. If you would like to say a prayer for him, his first name is Jeremy.
I thought this card of Laura's would make a lovely inspiration. Celebrate Your Blessings by Laura ODonnell at Splitcoaststampers
I turned Laura's card on it's side and used a different image. I really liked her ribbon, button and twine and just used different colors. The stamp is from SweetnSassy stamps and colored with Copic markers. I had seen this image used a few times and always LOVED the way all of those cards looked. (Bridget, yours was vividly beautiful!)
Laura, I am so grateful that your card help guide me in making this sympathy card. Thank you so much! I am going to try to comeback tomorrow and make a FUN card. Because your gallery is filled with happiness, light and love! I woud like to reflect that aspect too!
Thank you for hosting Julie and always giving us wonderful examples! Thank you for stopping by to take a peek.

What a beautiful bird and coloring, Kathleen!! The turquoise ribbon adds a wonderful pop of a different color!! So sad for the young man to lose both parents at the same time.

Kathleen, my heart goes out to this young man, what a terrible ordeal...your card is beautiful, there's so much warmth and color, it does reflect light and seems to glow....this is a good image for your very thoughtful sympathy card.

I'm so sorry! What an awful tragedy! Your card is lovely, Kathleen, and to me, birds are symbols of hope and always bring a smile to me. Your little goldfinch is wonderful and I'm sure Jeremy will appreciate it.

Kathleen, your card is very beautiful!! I like the card you chose to case. It is so difficult to make sympathy cards, and this story is so heart breaking. I will certainly say a prayer for Jeremy. Oh boy! I always think motorcycles look fun, but far too often you hear these stories. The gold, yellow, and orange are stunning on your finch card.

What a wonderful, sweet gesture for Jeremy. Your thoughtful card will be a blessing to him, I can't imagine his despair. You did a wonderful job with the case, the bird is lovely!
