 | | I had to play along with the Queen for the Day Challenge to honor a fellow Navy wife, Roberta aka stampin'nana. I, of course, found a couple of cards with a nautical theme and went from there http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...;ppuser=233431 and http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...;ppuser=233431. I have this cool Stampendous Oval Rope Frame stamp that reminded me of the oval framing on the one card and I used markers to ink it up then added some extras with markers and watercoloring with markers on acetate. I sponged the sky and sea on the main image. I stamped the dad onto the banner and the compass rose in the top corner as Roberta had. I used a map dp piece for the bg, sponging the edges and added a sailor's knot instead of a ribbon. I used the itty bitty bg to add some spatter to the image panel. |
